In order to further develop, qualify and implement the Studsvik patented inDRUM technology for the German market GNS and Studsvik have formed a strategic and exclusive cooperation to combine their expertise to tackle the challenge of problematic waste in a safe and efficient way. Studsvik’s inDRUM is a patented technology for the treatment of problematic wastes, such as legacy wastes in aging drums, which results in an inert residue, significant volume reduction and enables drums to be managed with minimal manual handling.

From August 30 to September 1, the entire GNS Group will present itself at our centrally located booth for the first time with our now three subsidiaries EWB, H&B and WTI. 

GNS has signed the first contract for casks of the CASTOR® geo series for a boiling water reactor with Kernkraftwerk Leibstadt AG, thus completing the supply of all four nuclear power plants in Switzerland.

GNS-subsidiary WTI Wissenschaftlich-Technische Ingenieurberatung GmbH in Jülich is starting the year 2023 with a newly formed management board. The first-time appointment of a two-member management board with Dr Linus Bettermann as chairman and Roger Vallentin as additional managing director takes account of the growing importance of WTI's tasks, particularly in the growth market of decommissioning.

At the beginning of the christmas season GNS trainees organised a charity campaign for the Oberhausen Friedensdorf International (Peace Village). Employees were given the opportunity to donate clothes that were in good condition. In addition, the trainees sold fresh waffles for a self-selected donation amount.
