GNS donates to Friedensdorf International

At the beginning of the christmas season GNS trainees organised a charity campaign for the Oberhausen Friedensdorf International (Peace Village). Employees were given the opportunity to donate clothes that were in good condition. In addition, the trainees sold fresh waffles for a self-selected donation amount.

Two carloads of clothes as well as a monetary donation of 2,013 Euros, which was topped up by the management to a sum of 5,000 Euros, were handed over by the GNS trainees during their visit to the Peace Village in Oberhausen and the central warehouse in Dinslaken. Both make an important contribution to the work of the Peace Village, which is financed exclusively by donations.

The Peace Village International helps children from war and crisis areas with necessary medical care in Germany. Currently, more than 170 children from eight different crisis areas around the world are given the chance of a healthy future in the Peace Village. On average, the children stay in Oberhausen for six months.
