Four more CASTOR® HAW28M for Switzerland

For retrieval and interim storage of HLW from reprocessing at the reprocessing plant in La Hague the Swiss NPP rely on casks of the type CASTOR® HAW28M by GNS. Two casks of this type, that were ordered in 2010 and shipped to and loaded in 2014 at La Hague have been transported to the Swiss interim storage ZWILAG at Würenlingen in September. In August 2014 the Swiss utilites Axpo Power AG und BKW Energy Ltd. ordered another four casks of this type for the retrieval of vitrified HLW from reprocessing at Sellafield.
